A bookstore burglar was captured in New York with the assistance of controversial surveillance technology, police said Tuesday, April 14.
Cops said Thomas Luxton, 22, was spotted at Braveheart Book and Bazaar in Stephentown on Monday, April 13, according to Albany ABC affiliate WTEN.
The store’s owner, Louise Hendry, said she was on the property and observed Luxton on her own cameras inside the store while it was closed, WTEN reported. Officers actually walked past Luxton unknowingly when they arrived to investigate, Rensselaer County Undersheriff Michael Dinardo told the station.
